Admission
Be at least 18 years old Basic educaon adequately supported by the State Holds a cerficate of eligibility to work as able seafarer engine constutes a part of Engineering Watch keeping. Performed documented sea service as able seafarer engines forming part of engineering Watch keeping for at least 12 months, or 6 months with the implementaon of a training program cerfied
Education and training requirements and certiication
Completed the educaon and training of a cerfied standard meets the criteria of efficiency and skill set forth in Secon A-III / 5 (responsibilies of able seafarers engine) of the Internaonal Convenon for educaon and training . Meet the standard of competence specified in secon A-VI / 1 (based training techniques for the definion of personal safety , the prevenon and firefighng , first aid , personal safety and social responsibilies) of the Internaonal Convenon for educaon and training STCW. Meet the standards of medical fitness for seafarers as contained in rule I / 9 of the Internaonal Convenon for educaon and training STCW, and meet all other requirements of local incoming local laws and regulaons governing the issuance of cerficates.
